A wonderful start!

It has been such a treat getting to know your precious little ones!  We hope you enjoy this brief blog and snapshot of what has been going on the last couple of days.

In addition to getting to know each other, we organized our notebooks and desks, began our study of the Fruits of the Spirit, and shared some of our All About Me Bags.  We also enjoyed a movie-themed snack of popcorn and water on Thursday, and today we had popsicles and played on the front lawn.  Next week, we will begin the transition into a more "normal routine".  We will focus on procedures and continue to have some fun as we get to know one another better.  We have many new families at Goodpasture this year, and we encourage you as parents to help remind your child to look for, and include those new friends at places like lunch and PE.

Memory Verse:  In fourth grade, we will have a weekly memory verse.  Each student will know the memory verse the Friday before it is due.  Memory Verses are expected to be said before Friday at PE.  We encourage children to say memory verses early if possible.  Our first memory verse comes from Galatians 5:22-23
22-"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering (patience ok here), kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23-"gentlenesss, self-control.  Against such things there is no law."

We know that you received your log in instructions for the goodpasturemyschoolapp.com.  We invite you to spend some time over the next few weeks familiarizing yourself with the site.  Soon,  we will transition away from this blog, and use the "bulletin board" feature as our primary communication tool.  Enjoy the weekend with your family!  We will see your sweet children for a full week Monday.
